Distance Learning, or Distance Education, is the traditional remote mode.

Delivery and Materials: Traditionally, it relied on physical study materials like printed books, notes, and assignments sent by post. While modern distance programs increasingly use online portals for materials (PDFs, live,recorded lectures), 

Interaction: Interaction with instructors and peers is generally limited and asynchronous. It often involves minimal virtual contact, relying on formal questions and answers, or occasional, non-mandatory contact sessions at designated study centers.  

Pace: It is typically self-paced, giving students a high degree of flexibility to complete the coursework according to their own schedule within a given timeframe.  

Assessment: Assessments may include assignments submitted online or physically, and offline exams held at designated examination centers.  

💻 Online Degree PG Programs

Online Degree Programs fully utilize the internet and digital platforms for course delivery.  

Delivery and Materials: All learning is conducted online through a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) like Moodle or Blackboard. Materials are dynamic and interactive, including live (synchronous) and recorded (asynchronous) video lectures, e-books, quizzes, and interactive assignments.  

Interaction: Online programs emphasize real-time interaction (synchronous). This includes live online classes, video conferencing sessions, discussion forums, and virtual office hours with faculty, fostering greater engagement and collaboration.  

Pace: While still flexible, online programs often follow a more structured schedule with fixed class times or deadlines for weekly modules, closer to a traditional classroom environment.

Assessment: Assessments are typically conducted online (tests, quizzes, proctored exams) and often involve more interactive, continuous evaluation.
