Establishment and Recognition: BOSSE was formed in 2020 under an Act of the Sikkim Government. It is recognized and listed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and is accepted by institutions like the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE).

Programs Offered:

Secondary (Class 10th equivalent)

Senior Secondary (Class 12th equivalent)

Skill and Vocational Education up to the pre-degree level.

Core Focus: BOSSE emphasizes a flexible approach, allowing students to choose a combination of academic subjects and vocational subjects. This dual focus is designed to make students not only academically qualified but also equipped with employment-oriented, practical skills.

Functionality: It conducts examinations twice a year (typically April-May and October-November) and offers flexibility mechanisms like Transfer of Credit (TOC), where marks from certain other recognized boards can be transferred.
